Ma-ao Sugar Central have never been a sugar refinery; it only produced raw sugar until it closed operation recently(?).

The Ma-ao Sugar Central had its Sugar Refinery into full operation sometime in middle fifties. I can remember it well because it coincided with the operation of the jute factory, to which I spplied for a job (mostly women were employed as factory workers) but was not accepted because, aside from being too young (only 16, still a minor) as the company recruited only women aged 18 and above years of age. The recruitment head, being the vice president of the sugar company, was very careful in choosing the factory plant's workers.
Why I wrote was because of the old p[hotos posted by a certain Rob Dickinson. I wanted to share copies of those photos he posted of the Ma-ao Sugar Central locomotives, sometime in 1982. Perhaps he can make those photos available for personal & posterity ourposes. Thank you Mr. Rob Robinson..By the way, your name can be found just anywhere.
Thanks and regards.
